Minchin Moore Private Wealth, is a six strong advisory team with $400 million in assets under management, has signed up to BT Financial Group’s Securitor Newtwork.

The private wealth boutique was created through the merger of Minchin Moore Private Wealth, which hadalready been with Securitor for five months, and Peter Williams’ Sydney based Practic.

The team, which consists of founding director Williams, former BT Financial Group advisers Nick Mundy and Tom Jefferies and operations manager Jenny Wong, has a range of experience including running family office strategic services, direct equities, funds management, platforms and insurance.

Williams has over 25 years of experience advising high net worth (HNW) and ultra-HNW clients and was a founder of accounting firm Williams Hatchman & Kean, in 1984. He had been operating under the WHK Group.

“We wanted to join forces with a dealer group that would allow us to flourish within our own business model and that provides industry leading support services,” said Williams.

“Securitor is renowned as a dealer group that provides freedom within a framework for established practices that want to grow.”

Securitor has 240 practices and almost 500 advisers under its network with plans to grow that further through organic and inorganic means.

Matt Englund, head of dealer groups at BT Financial Group, said he expects a number of further additions to the Securitor group between now and the end of the year.

“Planning groups are looking for dealer groups like us to help them through FOFA,” said Englund.

“I think we’ll have quite a number of additional deals but changing dealer groups is a very big decision for people so it needs to be for the right reasons and at the right pace.”
